About ParlePrêt
ParlePrêt is an independent practice tool for building confidence with original GCSE-style French speaking prompts.
What the free tool supports
Learners can choose a topic and difficulty, hear an original prompt, speak or type a response, review the transcript, and use a transparent checklist to plan another attempt.
Why the feedback is limited
The checklist identifies visible features in the transcript. It cannot hear pronunciation, apply an official mark scheme, predict a grade, or replace feedback from a teacher. Browser transcription mistakes should be corrected before the checklist is used.
Original and non-official material
The practice prompts were written for ParlePrêt and are not copied from confidential or past examination papers. ParlePrêt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of any examination board or school.
Privacy-first practice
No account is required. ParlePrêt does not intentionally upload or store the current transcript or an audio recording on its own server. Browser speech recognition may use the browser provider’s service, so a typing option remains available.
